  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ stick butter, melted
  • 1 can prepared apple pie filling

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F

Lightly grease an 8 inch square baking pan

In a mixing bowl combine the brown sugar, oats, and flower with the melted butter

Take half of the mixture and spread it evenly in the bottom of the baking dish

Pour the apple mixture on top of the mixture in the baking dish

Take the rest of the oat meal and flour mixture and sprinkle it as even as you can

Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown

Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream

Follow the recipe for a start and add items to it like walnuts or Pecans to jazz up the dish. Let your wild side lose  and change dessert up a little.  You can turn this dessert into a fruit cobbler by adding a few different fruits to the mixture.
