Tuna Casserole with Cream of Mushroom Soup, one quick and Delicious Meal
Everyone has a go to dish for that one night when everyone is in a rush or is late getting home. And one of mine is Tuna Casserole with cream of mushroom soup.
The popularity of casserole started in the 1950 or so, people were starting to get in a rush and the ingredients were usually in the home already seeing that the soup and tuna were staples and inexpensive.
One of the nice things about Tuna Casserole with cream of mushroom soup is that you can put your own spin on it for your family. For more color I add diced Carrots to help get the Peas to pop out with the contrast of colors.
I have been asked what casserole dish is better? And I don’t think that there is a “Best baking dish” That is why there are so many on the market. A lot of times people pass down their dish when the get new ones so if you in need you can some times inherent a few or if you need to they are inexpensive at Amazon. from classics from Corning Ware to the designer Chiefs that are selling their brad names.
If your a little more adventurous you can spice this dish up with a shake or two of crushed Red peppers of a dab of Horse Radish or change up the noodle side of it all and substitute the egg noodles for mini Farfalle known as Bow Tie noodles. I am showing the dish made with bow tie noodles, looks nice I think.
Tuna Casseroles with cream of mushroom soup can make a great easy lunch or a dish for a pot luck. Back in the day it was it was even brought to other peoples homes when someone was sick or going through bereavement. Basically a nice jester from days passed.
