Everyone should be making there own Mayonnaise, we all know that fresh is so much better then what you get out of the stores.  Granted there is the ease of paying to much for a easy product but I think you will find that this doesn’t take much time at all.

  • 1 ¼ cup light olive oil
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon dry mustard powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ lemon juiced


Start with everything at room temperature; it will turn out so much better

Put ¼ cup of the olive oil, the egg (without the shell), mustard powder, and salt into a mixing bowl or blender.

Mix thoroughly

With the blender running, drizzle oh so slowly the rest of the olive oil

Once the oil has been added and the mixture has emulsified then add the lemon juice and blend at a slow speed or mix by hand

You need to start making your own sauces and this is the easiest on on the block.  You can add all kinds of roasted vegetables to make leftover not really leftovers.
