Spicy Pasta as a Salad
Burned out on green salads, need something new that doesn’t take a lot of preparation or time, try this tasty dish for and easy adder to your main meal. This spicy salad goes great with chicken that has been cooked on a charcoal Bar-b-que. Simple but tasty is one of the things I look for in everyday cooking.
Ingredients
- ½ cup Rotini Noodles (the curly ones)
- 1tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 3 tablespoons sesame seeds (roasted)
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 2 tablespoons Aloha Brand soy sauce. I think it isn’t as salty
- 1 thinly sliced green onion
- 3 cups thinly sliced cucumbers
Instructions
Boil the noodles and chill, add a dash of olive oil to keep them from sticking
After the noodles are chilled add the other ingredients together the water, vinegar, honey and the other wet item together first while you’re waiting for the noodles to cool. Add the sesame seeds and the noodles, give it a good mix and serve
