Cold Tuna, Salmon Sandwich
Tired of that same old Tuna Sandwich?
Here is a great spin on the classic.
Start out as usual with the normal items that you use.
Ingredients
- 1 4 to 6 oz can Tuna
- 1 4 to 6 oz can Salmon Sockeye
- 3 tbls Mayo
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chopped white onion
- 1/4 cup capers
- 1 tea spoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tea spoon Horse radish
- 1 pinch Tarragon leaves
- Lemon pepper or a squeeze of Lemon
- Salt
Instructions
Drain the tuna and salmon and add to a large bowl.
Add about 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise into the tuna and salmon combination.
Add the rest of the ingredients to the bowl and lightly mix.
Add salt and pepper to your taste.
It’s okay if the tuna, salmon mix looks a little dry now let the mixture set in the refrigerator for about an hour.
The longer you can let it rest more the flavors will enhance each other. Use good quality bread when making your sandwich.
Depending on you taste and that of others , you can keep the onion on the side for the ones that love onions and keep the others happy that have problems with raw uncooked onions.
